Bachata Movement Code of Conduct
At Bachata Movement, we believe that dance should be joyful, respectful, and welcoming for everyone. Whether you're joining us for a class, social, party, or engaging in our community WhatsApp groups, we ask all participants to help us create a safe, kind, and inclusive space.
By attending any Bachata Movement activity you agree to follow this Code of Conduct.
Respect on and off the Dance Floor

-
Consent is key. Always ask before initiating a dance and respect a “no” without question or pressure. You can decline or end a dance at any time—no explanation needed.

-
Physical boundaries matter. Be mindful of your partner’s comfort and personal space. If you're unsure whether a move or hold is appropriate, avoid it and seek clarity from an instructor.

-
Cleanliness and hygiene are essential. Please come to class or socials fresh and considerate of close-contact dancing.

-
Kindness always. Be patient and supportive, whether you're dancing with a beginner or advanced dancer. No unsolicited teaching during socials.

Behavior at Classes, Parties & Events

-
Respect the venue, instructors, and team. Follow guidance from staff and treat the space as if it were your own.

-
No harassment, discrimination, or bullying will be tolerated. This includes (but isn’t limited to) offensive language, unwanted physical contact, intimidation, or exclusion based on race, gender, sexual orientation, body size, ability, or background.

-
If you see something, say something. If you witness behavior that doesn't align with this Code, we encourage you to speak to a team member or report it anonymously.

WhatsApp & Online Community Guidelines
Our WhatsApp groups are here to keep the community connected, informed, and inspired. To keep things respectful and valuable for everyone:

-
Be kind, helpful, and inclusive. Treat everyone as you would in person.

-
Keep it relevant. Use group chats for Bachata-related topics and event sharing. Avoid spam, unrelated promotions, or excessive self-promotion.

-
No inappropriate or offensive content. This includes memes, images, or jokes that could make others uncomfortable.

-
Respect privacy. Don’t share personal information, screenshots, or group content outside the group without permission.
